Austin’s 2012-2013 Broadway season is busting with rock ‘n’ roll. From the tunes of the '80s hair bands in Rock of Ages, music legend Elton John’s score for Billy Elliot and the dance floor hits of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the state capital will be electrified all year. To celebrate the new season, cast members from the Broadway and Chicago productions of Million Dollar Quartet took the stage on April 19 at Texas Performing Arts for a jam session for over 400 guests. The stars of the musical about the one-time meeting of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins performed “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Hound Dog” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” all hits featured in the show.
