The national tour of 'Les Misérables'
'Les Miserables' will storm Austin through June 3.

The national tour of Les Misérables begins performances in Austin on May 29. The musical will play the Bass Concert Hall through June 3.

The story of Les Misérables begins in 1815 as Jean Valjean, a man condemned to 19 years of hard labor for stealing a loaf of bread, finds only hatred and suspicion when he is released on parole and breaks free yearning for a new life. This story of love, courage and redemption is now being told with a newly imagined production featuring new sets and costumes. The sweeping Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil score contains the signature numbers “I Dreamed a Dream” and “On My Own.”

This international hit stars Broadway vets Peter Lockyer as Jean Valjean, Andrew Varela as Javert, Lauren Wiley as Cosette, Max Quinlan as Marius and Betsy Morgan as Fantine.
